How ordering works
Check the product at a scale that works for you, then build up to regular orders.
Sample kit
Samples of the grades you name, drawn from current lots, each with its moisture and size readings, for your own QC.
Pilot lot
100 to 300 kg of one grade, paid, with a certificate of analysis. You run it through incoming QC on your line.
Repeat lots
500 kg to 2 tonnes per lot, against purchase orders.
Season contract
For steady demand: a booked quantity for the season, priced by an agreed formula against a reference rate and lifted monthly.
Dispatch, documents and packing
- Dispatch window
- Within 7 days of your purchase order for graded stock; within 21 days for lots made to order.
- Certificate of analysis
- Issued before the lot leaves, never after. It carries a QR code that opens the verification page for that lot.
- Photographs
- Every lot is photographed at intake and again at dispatch.
- Packing
- One grade per bag, sealed, with the lot ID on every bag. 250 g packs are available to order for institutional specifications.
- Freight
- Popped makhana fills a truck by volume long before it reaches the weight limit, so freight is quoted per order, on volume.
- Export
- This season we supply within India. Export enquiries are quoted FOB only.
If a lot fails your QC
- You have 5 working days from delivery to run incoming QC. Tell us inside that window, with your test data and method.
- We pull the retained sample from the same lot and check it against your reading.
- If we still disagree, a coded duplicate of the retained sample goes to a second NABL-accredited laboratory named in the contract in advance. Its result settles it.
- If the lot is outside the specification we agreed in writing, we replace it or credit it at invoice value, whichever you choose.
This applies to lots with a retained sample and a laboratory result on file. Liability is capped at the invoice value of the lot, with an annual cap set out in the supply agreement. Settlement is by replacement or credit note.
Payment terms
- Pilot lots are paid in advance, or half before dispatch and half against a dispatch video.
- Short credit on repeat lots is considered only after three lots have been paid on time.
- Season contracts carry a booking advance.
- We do not supply on consignment or open credit, and supply pauses on any overdue invoice.
Questions buyers ask
What is the smallest order you take?
A pilot lot of 100 to 300 kg of one grade, paid in advance. After that, regular lots run from 500 kg to 2 tonnes. Before a pilot you can ask for a sample kit of the grades you want to test.
Do you blend grades?
No. Each lot is one suta grade and is not mixed at grading or at packing. The certificate of analysis reports the measured size distribution of the lot.
How quickly do you dispatch?
Within 7 days of your purchase order for graded stock, and within 21 days for lots made to order. Freight is quoted per order.
What does the certificate of analysis show?
The lot ID, grade and measured size distribution, dispatch moisture, unpopped, broken and foreign-matter results, whiteness, and any laboratory results for the lot. It is issued before dispatch and carries a QR code that opens the lot's verification page.
What happens if a lot fails our incoming QC?
Tell us within 5 working days of delivery, with your test data. We check it against the retained sample from the same lot. If we still disagree, a second NABL-accredited laboratory tests a coded duplicate and its result settles it.
